Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear most about Measura, with short answers.

Last updated:

What is Measura?

Measura is an assessment and decision-support system that turns the exams you already run into an outcome-level growth record for every student, shows the likely prerequisite behind a weak outcome and gives teachers weekly support suggestions.

Does it work with paper exams?

Yes. Outcome-tagged answer sheets are scanned and read; results go onto the same map as on-screen checks. Mock exams come in the same way.

Does it run in the cloud or on our own server?

Either. In the cloud option Measura hosts and updates it, on an annual subscription. With the institution-server option, installation and data sit on your own server; licence and transfer terms are detailed in the enterprise agreement. The choice depends less on institution size than on your data policy and operating capacity.

Does it replace our school management system?

No. Attendance, accounting and official report cards stay in your current system. Measura turns exam results into an outcome-level growth record for each student and produces support suggestions.

How do we start?

With a 90-day pilot on a subject and classes you choose. The pilot covers outcome mapping, a first report, support in practice and a comparable re-check. Scope and success criteria are written down before it starts.

What does outcome-level assessment mean?

Collecting separate evidence for each learning objective in your outcome framework instead of a single subject grade. Instead of “Maths: 62” you see “ratio and proportion needs support, percentages are partial and improving”.

Does AI assign grades?

No. Scores come from defined calculation services. AI drafts questions and suggestions; publishing and decisions stay with teachers.

Where is student data stored?

In Measura’s hosted environment or on the institution’s own server, depending on the setup you choose. Designed around GDPR and KVKK requirements; data can be exported in open formats.

Does it work with the data in our existing systems?

Student, class and subject lists exported from your school management system as Excel / CSV, and optical reader output, can be imported; a direct connection is assessed separately for your institution’s system.

Which subjects can it be used for?

Because the outcome framework is defined as data, Measura is not tied to a subject. A pilot starts with one subject; its outcome and prerequisite map is drafted for that subject and approved by your own specialist.

Does it work with different curricula and languages?

You define your own outcome framework: a national curriculum, international programmes or institution-specific learning goals. The interface is in Turkish and English; needs such as a new grading system or a different writing direction are assessed separately.

Will it add to teachers’ workload?

The aim is a short weekly list that a teacher can review quickly. How long that takes is measured in the pilot; no time-saving is guaranteed.

Does it rank or label students?

No. Measura does not label students or rank schools. It uses statements tied to an outcome and its evidence level, such as “the evidence on this outcome is weak for now”; the decision is the teacher’s.

Who maps the questions to outcomes?

Measura drafts the first mapping; your department or assessment specialist approves it. A mapping that is not approved does not reach the results. If you already have an item bank, mapping starts from it.

How is a wrong record corrected?

During upload, missing or conflicting rows appear in a validation report. If something is corrected after upload, affected results are recalculated and both the old and the new record stay in the change history.

How are open-ended and teacher-scored questions handled?

Optical reading is for multiple-choice questions. For open-ended and teacher-scored questions the teacher enters the score or uploads it in a file; those scores go onto the same outcome map.

How does pricing work?

The cloud option is an annual subscription and the institution server is an enterprise licence. The scope is written into a quote based on institution size and the chosen setup, including what installation and training cover.

How do setup, training and support work?

In the pilot, outcome mapping, data import and teacher training are done together with Measura. Support is by email; for the institution server, maintenance and update responsibilities are written into the agreement.
